Little Nonna's (1234 Locust St.), the latest red sauce addition to Midtown Village from Marcie Turney and Val Safran is getting in on the lunch game. They're going to be serving up a menu of Italian-American plates Monday to Saturday from 11:45 am to 3 p.m. The menu includes plenty of nonna-inspired favorites like the B+P+V meatballs (that's be beef, pork and veal meatballs with soft polenta, San Marzano gravy and fontina) sheep's milk ricotta-stuffed shells and bucatini bolognese along with some sandwiches that would be right at home in the Italian Market - think chicken parm and roast pork with broccoli rabe and provolone all served on seeded rolls from Sarcone's. Oh and that totally amazing looking meatball sandwich is on the menu too.
