Rocket Cat Cafe

2001 Frankford Ave.
215-739-4526

Cafe/Coffeeshop, Port Fishington

When zucchini, squash and asparagus hang out together, good things happen. At Rocket Cat Café, you’ll find this trio served in the form of grilled quesadillas and sandwiches on whole wheat. Season it with yeast for extra healthy points. Come back the next morning for a bagel topped with their homemade spinach/garlic/onion/tofu cream cheese, or their veggie variety, swirled with chunks of carrot, onion, spinach tomato and red pepper. Our non-veg favorite is the tuna salad sandwich, which features American cheese, red onion and a surprisingly juicy layer of sliced apples. If you chugged too much Surge when you were 11 and are now immune to caffeine, Rocket Cat’s Thai iced coffee is for you. The double espresso shots that mingle with über-strong iced coffee are scarily potent, so be warned: They will wake your zombie ass up. Plus, the sweetened condensed milk — the key ingredient that earns this bev its Thai designation — makes it taste like a coffee-flavored Creme Saver. Open Mon.-Fri., 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sat., 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sun., 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

This place sucks! Their coffee sucks! It tastes like Folger's from some one's rear end, probably from one of the women behind the counter. They all look like they have yeast infections and they obviously don't bathe.

The first and last time I tried to eat there, there was a mouse in the toaster. The chick actually cooked the mouse with the bagel. That place is a disgusting mess and the self proclaimed 'christian' workers are rude. She tried to get me to pay for the food she cooked with a mouse!
