"I got started in photography in Jamaica in the summer of 1997, with a waterproof, point-and-shoot APS camera. I progressed to an APS SLR, but soon made the switch to 35mm, as it allowed more film choices, higher quality enlargements, and the option to use slide film. Living in Miami for much of 1999 yielded great photos, most of which I used for an exhibition at Borders during July and August of 2000. Shooting for these photos was very simple. I think I've gotten pretty good at finding just the right 'spot' on an automobile where shapes, folds, and openings come together for the best impact. No tripod was used, as I want to get the shots as quickly as possible. I have had a few run-ins with owners who didn't share my creative vision."
Technical: AGFA 200 speed film and Kodak 100 or 200 speed film; normal C-41 processing.
