In our search for the worst music of all time, earSHOT asked local and national music critics to list the 10 truly worst
bands and/or songs of all time; the music that made 'em cringe,
squeal and recoil in horror. For some, it wasn't that easy. Philly critic Chuck Eddy pointed out that the 10 truly worst bands would be those who never made it out of the garage.

history of music. During a squabble over the Spice Girls, local columnist Sara Sherr
offered, "A band like the Spice Girls is so much less offensive
than someone like Jackson Browne who actually affected the music
industry." Some of our critics attacked the not-so-obvious, or the sacred
cows. No doubt you'll disagree with many of the critics' worst. But it just goes to show - one person's Night Ranger is another's
