On Aug. 16 the rockin' walls of the Electric Factory went from
staid to sexy with the black-light beauty of the Rubberlution
fashion show. A longtime club favorite of fetishists 'n' goth-lovers
everywhere, designer/wholesaler Gary Rubberlution presented his
team's fall line from shiny vixen vinyl to moistened raunchy rubber.
An army of Gary's handpicked models, dressed in "scintillating
and titillating" latex, paraded around the gloomy, theatrical
setting tightly clad, barely clad and Bauhaus-mad. They strutted
to the strains of industrial DJs Rich Russo, Matt, Wad and Thorn
(all faves from the grand old days of Asylum).
