Phillies in talks with Will Ohman
Well, well, well, it looks like Andy ‘NewZolecki’ Martino just scooped everyone – from the blog of the Phillies newest beat writer:
The Phillies made an offer to free agent lefty reliever Will Ohman, and are engaged in ongoing negotiations with the pitcher, Ohman’s agent tells the Inquirer.
We reported last month that Ohman and the Phillies had communicated, and now we have learned that team made an offer to Ohman last week, according to agent Page Odle. Odle would not divulge the dollar amount or length of the offer, and Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. declined comment on the situation.
Ohman is a quality arm and would be a welcome addition to the pen. Plus he’s hilarious.
