Chan Ho Park, the Phillies’ free agent pickup, is spending his offseason training with with what I believe to be a team managed by one of his former high school classmates.
This South Korean Newspaper has the hilariously translated details:
Pitcher Park Chan-ho plans to train
in Miyazaki, Japan, with a pro Korean team and gain recognition in
spring training in Florida. Park, 36, who wants to be a starting pitcher again, will jointly train with the Doosan Bears.[snip]
A Bears source said, Park has strict self-disciplines.
Tim Belcher may beg to differ.

I looked it up, and the ‘Bears’ coach is more than twenty years older than Park. A little old for a highschool classmate, ain’t he? Check your facts, man.
