The NHL All Star Team is a Farce

Today, in Broad Street Bull, Sam Cardichi’s Inquirer blog, the beat guy rips in. The post is entitled “Without Richards, all-star game a joke” and it gets right to the point.
Money quote:
Richards was snubbed. So were teammates Kimmo Timonen and Simon Gagne.
All because the fans made some very dumb selections when they chose the starters. That, coupled with the fact that each team has to be represented, left many deserving players off the team.
And, make no mistake, no one is more deserving than Richards, who has excelled on the power play, penalty kill and even-strength situations.
Cardichi is absolutly right. Mike Richards is not only the emotional leader of the
first-place Flyers, but he’s also their best player. Leaving him off
the all star team further delegitimizes an event that was already a
joke.

We have nipple!
She’s a go-getter, that Gina Lynn.
I see the jump from the phantoms to the flyers is not a small one
