Philadelphia Should Be Thankful for Brian Dawkins
![]() |
Eagles safety / future Hall of Famer Brain Dawkins is a total stand-up guy. All season he’s been donating his game tickets tickets to local high school football players who excel on the field and in the classroom. This has been going on all season, but I think I’ve neglected to mention it until now.
Philly.com reports on the latest two to recieve the tickets:
Frankford High’s Kalif Walker and Dobbins Tech’s Terrell “Mouse”
Barringer have been selected by Eagles safety Brian Dawkins as the
winners of his game tickets for tomorrow night’s game against the
Arizona Cardinals at Lincoln Financial Field.Walker is
Frankford’s quarterback and plays defensive back. He has a 3.3
grade-point average, and Ivy League schools are among the colleges
interested in him.“He’s very well-spoken and a very good
student,” Frankford coach Mike Capriotti said. “He’s a great athlete;
he knows the game inside and out.”Barringer was Dobbins’
quarterback and one of the team leaders. “Terrell is playing at an
All-Public League level,” Dobbins coach Lou Zambino said. “He was an
All-Pub baseball player last spring. He is a natural leader, both in
the classroom and on the field.“When he comes into a room, he lights up the room. He has a vibrant personality. He is an excellent student.”
Dawkins has lost a step over the last year or so, and sometimes get put in positions that he just can’t handle anymore (one-on-one with T.O.? Really?), but he’s still the emotional core of this year and their leader on the field. I’m guessing a position shift is his future, a move to SS would make sense for both sides, but I’m hoping that a shift in his team is not.

Listen closely around the time 2:40 seconds when Dawkins says we brought it every single ga-darn play! You feel like cracking the shit out of someone now(in a football sense). Let’s do that here-on-out Birds,I know it’s in you in all…E A G L E S Eagles!
whoa! that vid is distilled – right here in my own town, all these years.
