A little over a month ago Ann Brenoff of the LA Times (who is either writing from the future or has a mislabled dateline), reported that Elton Brand sold his three-bedroom, 3 1/2 -bathroom house, 5,471 square feet, Hollywood Hills home for $4,550,000.
Now the other side of the transation is complete. Berg Properties has the detail’s on Brand’s new Gladwyne, PA. crib:
Brand’s new, English Cotswold manor-style house was used in the 1990 shooting of the movie “Rocky V.”

Built in 1926, Brand’s new house has six full baths, three half baths, “an array of deep-silled windows,” a newly renovated gourmet chef’s kitchen and breakfast room with furniture-style Plato cabinetry, a library, nine skylights and a gas fireplace, according to public records and listing information. Other features include a guest suite with a kitchen and a large living room, and views of the Schuylkill Valley, according to listing information. The property is bounded on three sides by the Philadelphia Country Club.
EB actually made money on the transaction; the Gladwyne home cost him “only” $3,350,000. If anyone can find pictures of the new house please feel free to send them along.
