President Bush, who Bud Selig beat out for commissioner of
Major League Baseball in 1992 (turns out both of them got the wrong job), has
called to congratulate the Phillies (and his favorite second basemen).
Bush postulated that the 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays must be exciting for [Phillies' President David] Montgomery, the team and all the fans who have waited 25 years for the City of Brotherly Love to have a championship sports team.
The president also noted that manager Charlie Manuel brought some of the players to the White House last year, and Bush said he was really impressed by them.

So the Light of the love faces the dark of rain delay and…and leads us right to bright TODAY
GO PHILS
and we DID banish the DEVIL rays
