 NLDS Predictatron

categories | Phillies, Winners, contests

After a decent showing in our opening day predictatron (including CP Webmaster Marc Steel exactly predicting the Phils record), we’re bringing it back for the playoffs.

Anyway, lay down your predictions of how easily the Phils are going to take care of the Brewers, and just who the series’ MVP is going to be.  You get it right? +5 Sports Complex points.  Wrong? You’re out of the family.

The Daily News staff picks are HERE

ESPN’s are HERE

We’ll have our preview up eventually, but that won’t stop us from ruining the surprise already: Phillies 3-0. J-Roll is the MVP.  That frontrunner.

You’re up:

3-2 Brewers. MVP = CC. Can’t beat the lefty with Burrell out

3-1 Phillies. MVP: Jayson Werth

Phils sweep. Moyer has a 2-hitter.

3-2 Phillies. MVP: Shane Vic, who will go 11 for 24 and have a key outfield assist.

Phils in 4. I see way too much of last year’s Phils in this current Brewers team. and frankly, i’m not that afraid of CC pitching again on 3 days rest. MVP is the Big Man.

Phils sweep. Burrell homers off Sabathia.

I was happy to be wrong by 4.5 wins for the season, so I’ll be happy to be wrong about 3-2 Brewers. MVP is Braun.

Game 1: Phils 2-1, Hamels goes 7 strong, Durbin/Romero and Lidge shut the door.
Game 2: Brewers 5-0: Sabbathia, people.
Game 3: Phils 5-3: Moyer keeps winning. Brewers consider bringing Sabbathia back on 24 hours rest.
Game 4: Phils 9-7. Bush and Blanton lead to slugfest the Phils ultimately win.

Phils win series 3-1

3-2 Phillies. It’s scary when all the national pundits are picking the Phillies.. those guys are usually subject to groupthink. Corey Hart wears his sunglasses at night, but their pitching is weak sauce beyond CC.

Phillies in 4. It’s all about the bats. Jayson Werth gets the MVP and Lidge stays perfect. Win, win, loss, win.

Phillies in fo’

MVP: Big Brown

Phils in 4 but CC Sabathia outhomers Ryan Howard and Prince Fielder combined.

Mets will not make the playoffs.

Phils in 5. It should be 4 on paper, but the Phils have a way of making it interesting.

The Phils will win. How or in how many I don’t know, but the Phils will win.
GO PHILS!

My prediction: Phils take 3 straight from the Brew Crew and then destroy the crappy Cubs.

Phils in 4. Dodgers upset the Cubs in 5. Phil’s win the NLCS in 6, then the World Series in 4.
MVP for the NLDS: Chase Utley
