The Freddy Garcia / Gavin Floyd Trade Revisted
As the Phillies try to line up their starting rotation for their playoff series, a couple other former Phillies pitchers are going determine what the rest of the postseason looks like.

Today, the White Sox will try to force a one-game playoff for the Central crown when they play a make-up game at U.S. Cellular Field on Monday against the Detroit Tigers. Starting for the the White Sox? Gavin Floyd. For the Tigers? Freddy Garcia.

Those two, of course, were traded for each other before the 2007 season in a move that still haunts Phillie faithful.
I don’t know how this trade can hurt the Phils, but given the team’s history with those two I think I can comfortably guarantee that something awful happens to them tonight.
