K Watch – Howard v. Hamels
Last night Cole Hamels racked up six strikeouts, giving him 174 on the season. It’s a stat good enough for 4th in the league – it’s an impressive number. However, it’s only second on the Phillies. Ryan Howard has racked up an unbelieveable 181 Ks (7 ahead of Mark Reynolds, the second place guy and 37 above Chris Young, who’s third).
So from here on out, after every Cole Hamels start we’ll be seeing if the Phils’ ace can catch their bomber. Seeing as Hamels should be going on four days from here on out so we can expect a comeback, let’s start the action (for fun only, we won’t be taking official bets etc. etc. etc.) at …
