 Inmates Running the Asylum

categories | dbag athletes

This summer, when the Dallas Cowboy traded for troubled cornerback Adam PacmanJones, it was seen as a calculated risk. The Cowboys gave up a 4th- and 6th-round draft pick, and would have received additional compensation if Jones had either 1. not been reinstated or 2. gotten into more trouble because they were worried about his off-field behavior (you know, like the ten times police questioned him for doing things like finding the one lawyer at the strip club and punching her, or starting the infamous make-it-rain shootout).

Pacman promised them he wouldn’t be a problem. He seemed to take their faith in him to heart, and vowed to keep his name out of the spotlight. He sat down with NFL head honcho Roger Goodell and bared his soul as he promised to be good. He went on record saying he would “change his life” and start behaving. He even requested that media stop referring to him by his nickname because of its negative connotations.

Of course, he also is completely strizz with players, fans, and family keeping those connotations, and shows up to Cowboy events dressed like this:

Could be a fun summer.

What a troublemaker. No way he makes it past the bye week unscathed
