Sarah Palin, the republican candidate for Vice President has an interesting former profession. From CNN:

Congressional Quarterly notes Sarah Palin’s other past occupations,
including commercial fishing company owner, outdoor recreational
equipment company owner and sports reporter.

So I suppose that it is at least plausible this is my beat: SKIP
