hah! Is the fear that Victorino might miss a sign or that he’s just so gung ho his reflex reaction would be to break the moment he saw bunt, regardless of whether he got the sign or not?

Yup, and fun story … some of the bench coaches had toyed with idea of letting him show squeeze, just to mess with the Mets. Charlie said no chance because he was afraid that Victorino might actually break for home.

Did Myers’ pinch-hit appearance look as ridiculous live as it did on TV? Myers clearly had the red light all the way, but the way he was jumping out of the way of pitches that were one or two feet away from him was just precious.
