South Philly Taproom owner John Longacre, who in May opened the half coffee/half beer hub Brew with java dude Aaron Ultimo, says they’re shooting to have Brew’s liquor license in place by Saturday, June 27 — the date of SPTR’s fourth annual Wheat Beer Festival. Brew (1900 S. 15th St., 215-339-5177) will offer somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 international bottles, a selection that’ll surely look pretty inside the space’s vintage cooler system (above).
