Citzenry of Upper Darby, we salute you
A suspect in the burglary of a suburban Philadelphia pharmacy has been arrested because he left his keys in the trunk of his car.
Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says police were stumped at first about the theft of about $400,000 worth of drugs. He says the burglar disabled the alarm and surveillance systems.
But a few days later, police arrested a 43-year-old repeat offender. Chitwood says a neighbor saw the keys left in the trunk for a few days and notified police. When police checked out the situation, they found stolen drugs in the trunk and a gym bag with the suspect's name and address.
I love that there are still neighborhoods out there where a person's keys can be stuck in the trunk "for a few days," and when someone finally notices, his first reaction is not to steal stuff out of the car/steal the car itself but to call the police. Amazing.
Also, pharmacy burglar: You couldn't wait until you got your entire haul into the house before getting so smacked on Oxys that you forget your keys?

I wish I lived in that neighborhood…
