Don't believe the title? You're possibly an idiot. Scroll down to the bottom for proof…
Friday: While you can't dance with the dead/grossly deformed at the Mütter Museum 150th Birthday Bash, but you can certainly dance among them. The Museum of All Things Really Fucking Creepy are celebrating their centennial and a half with dinner and disco for the ages. Happy B-day Mütter! You don't look a day over 137. If you are more of the "Disco sucks donkey balls" school of thought, then check out CD release of East Hundred — when two members split, they went all Fleetwood Mac on your ass and used their experiences to make their tunes better. Or, go for the ska/punk of Philly's Blivit, Beatles-fetish and all.
Saturday: Get thee to Bus Stop for a shoegasm of a sale. Elena Brennan will put her shoesy goodness on sale for a song, so you can finally get those boots from the Gift Guide you've been fantasizing about (uuuuuuhhhhhh boooooooooots). Now that you've got your kicks in order, head over to Tequilas for the debut of Liquid Chef Junior Merino, who will be mixing up some new libations. As What's Cooking Queen Nikki Volpicelli put it, "A New York-based mixologist, Merino feels that food and drink exist as yin and yang; they should complement each other in balance and harmony." Know what doesn't complement each other? Your new shoes and vomit. So be careful out there Omnibussers.
Sunday: Let me tell you something, Omnibussers, your very own Mama Omnibus has a knack for picking American Idol winners. Kelly over Justin? Of course. Fantasia over Diana DeGarmo? Please. Ruben over Clay? Shit, son, I had Ruben going to Top 5 simply by watching his Hollywood audition. Kid's got spunk, kid's charisma, kid's got jazz. Which is why it's convenient that Ruben Studdard's taking on a lead in the 30th anniversary of Ain't Misbehavin' at Academy of Music, playing one of many Fats Wallers. Roooooooooooooben is the Velvet Teddy Bear of the idol set, but what would artist Adrian Aleo, who texturizes her sculptures, do with such a subject? Check it out for yourself at The Spirit of the Figure at the Snyderman Gallery. I don't know the answer, but I bet it Paula Abdul would think it's fabulous.
And for the non-believers above…

You’re an idiot!
