Brian Hickey update, Dec. 1, 1 p.m.
I just got off the phone with Angie Klem, Brian Hickey's wife, regarding his status following the hit-and-run on Friday night.
On her way to visit Brian in the hospital, Angie said his brain pressure has been stable for 30 hours following surgery to relieve said pressure.
He remains unconscious in a medically induced coma, though showed movement overnight.
He responds to pain on both sides of his body, but more on the left side.
He is not yet responding to voice commands, though Angie says it's still early for that.
We will keep you updated as we learn more.
Again, if you know Brian and Angie, e-mail your messages of support to angela_klem@msn.com.
If you have information on the driver, please contact the police.

We’ll all gladly take any good news we can get about Brian.
Thanks for posting this update. I’ve been constantly searching for further information about Brian. Hope he makes a full recovery and comes back better than ever!
Brian and his family are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the update.

Brian is a friend of my son, Kevin. I was saddened to hear he was hurt. However, this recent new is encouraging. God bless him and I hope he recovers quickly.
My thoughts and prayers are with Brian and his family.
Brian was editor of the three most significant articles I have done as a writer. One of them won an award and another launched my most important project — but what is much more important is the support I got from Brian. Without him, the articles would not have been finished. My feelings for him go beyond what I can easily say, as does the depth of my grief at such a dreadful incident. But my heart and mind are with him and Angela, as are my prayers — and I believe in him and his strength and spirit. Hang in there, Brian! We need you! YOu’ll make it!
