TONIGHT: Hendrick’s Gin and Apothecary Bar’s Medicine Show

Drop by Apothecary Bar + Lounge (102 S. 13th St.) after 7 tonight for the Hendrick's Gin and Apothecary Bar's Medicine Show. The evening kicks off with an early cocktailing competition — participating mixologists will craft drinks with Hendrick's as the base spirit, employing a five-line limerick to convey its liquid grandeur to a "panel of discerning tipplers." (Yours truly is one of the judges.) There will be many people decked out in "Victorian fancy" garb.
After winners are announced, guest barkeeps Charlotte Voisey and Tad Carducci (he and fellow Tippling Brother Paul Tanguay designed APO's cocktail list) will jump behind the bar to mix up some more ginny goodness. Click on the flyer for more details.
