Gregory Russell, chef/co-owner of Las Tarascas en Zocalo, dropped us some information on a new café he and wife/partner Mary have opened right next door to their landmark Mexican restaurant. Located at 3606 Lancaster Ave, Zocalito (aw!) offers La Colombe coffee, fresh-baked bagels, fresh-brewed ice tea, cereal, muffins, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and early-morning specials for under five bucks; more lunch choices will are coming later this fall. Phone is 215-301-0013; hours of operation are Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sat.-Sun., 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
