Palin, by comparison
Have you seen all these talking heads suddenly popping up on news-themed shows to talk about how much they respect gov. Sarah Palin, VP nominee? Think they even knew who Palin was a week ago? I don’t. But now, look how much respect they have. Couldn’t be happier with John McCain’s VP choice.
It would be funny if so much wasn’t at stake.
These people are partisan henchman. Paid liars and pride-swallowers.
Tonight former U.S. rep. Susan Molinari (GOP, NY) showed up on Larry King Live (aka Softball) to chime in on the split-screen discussion on Palin’s readiness to lead. Molinari, you may recall, was kind of a middle-ground Republican (she was opposed to Bush’s constitutional ban on gay marriage, she was staunchly pro-choice) but tonight she decided to ignore how far her own views differ with Palin’s. Why?
Because Sarah Palin is a woman. Molinari brought this up every chance she got.
“Right now I’m just excited about having a woman leader lead on our ticket,” Molinari said.
“I am very excited to sit here right now with Senator McCain nominating a very credible candidate — female — to be vice president of the United States,” she also said.
What could Molinari do? It’s the reason Palin herself shouted on Friday: “The women in America aren’t finished yet!”
And now I give you The Daily Show's take on the Palin pick, and how cynical a choice she was for McCain. The second half, with Samantha Bee, is just plain perfect.

Where’s the good stuff?
Who was Obama 4 yrs ago, before the machine grabbed him and turned him into the vessel for change-based hysteria.
Even know she sounds like a total twit when she talks lets try to focus on the objective stuff and maybe our conversations can lead to enlightenment; otherwise leave it up to Jon Stewart and Rush to debate who is more stealthy hypocrite.
I heard the ‘Palin, by comparison’ line more times then Ul Brenner did ‘The King And I.’
Dear Ricie Balence. A Googgle search tells me that, yeah, the “Palin By Comparison” thing is waaay overdone. Sorry about that. As for the rest of your comment, I’m lost. What are you talking about?
No apology necessary. Palin by comparison was better than that corny Northern Exposure plug in joke that Stewart’s minions howled at.
I was just trying to promote more substantive observations. She obviously has little experience, I would say dangerously comparable with Obama, though. What about her anti-corruption platform coming from the most corrupt state in the country ( Alaska is the wildwild west, Economist did a great piece on it…http://www.economist.com/world/unitedstates/displaystory.cfm?story_id=11848368)
Just trying to promote balance and looking forward to learning things I didn’t know.
I’ve just updated my McCain / Palin site, for your consideration:
