SEPTA is held up because of its love for Carrie Underwood
Why is SEPTA late? Is |

The Inquirer has a hard-hitting story on on how the new SEPTA prototypes are making their way to a regional rail near you. Let's start at the very beginning, considering it's a pretty good place to start:
The train is late.
It is in fact, expected to be 40 hours behind schedule, and counting.
Of course, the train isn't on a track, and if you want to get technical, it isn't even a real train.
This might be a good time to explain.
Why, yes, staff writer Alfred Lubrano. It would be. The trains arrived from Korea but now have to make their way to SEPTA's Liberty Yard at Broad and Erie. They were supposed to start the trip 10 p.m. yesterday, but that's been pushed back until 2 a.m. tonight. Why?
Maybe if he had a Bo Bice CD in there, the truck would go faster. I'm just sayin'.And, as it happens, the driver of a truck with such a heavy load can't just MapQuest the quickest route from the marine terminal to the trainyard (15 minutes or so at prudent speeds), slip on a Carrie Underwood CD, then rock on.
