Director Michel Gondry, of such visual masterpieces as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and trippy Björk videos, is trying his hand at comic books. His 32-page mini book is called We Lost the War But Not the Battle. New York mag's Vulture blog has got an exclusive look at the first couple pages, which they say is "the trippy and ridiculous story of four friends called into service to defend France against 'beautiful muscular and sexy communist girls.'
While this is just a sneak peak, the skeleton character (a guy who ODs but the French government requests his presence at a meeting anyway) bodes well for future pages.
