A few photographs of dapper boys in bow ties and pretty girls in knee-highs from London's Tweed Run were all it took to persuade Dane Colella to bring the event closer to home. In May, the joy ride successfully debuted in Philadelphia, and this weekend Colella and members of the Philly Fixed bike club are once again putting up their kickstands. "It's a really cool aesthetic, and that's probably the sentiment you'll get from a lot of people," says Colella. "It's fun to dress up and ride bikes." Any steel-steed fans of '20s and '30s fashion are welcome to join in this afternoon of mustaches, knickers and throwback games. If you're judged as having the snappiest outfit, you could win prizes like chocolate pipes from Tongue N Cheek Chocolate and tweed cycling caps from Gary Rothera. Dressing up is required, so don't even try the I'm-going-as-myself BS someone pulls every Halloween.

Sat., Nov. 7, noon-4 p.m., free, begins at Water Works, 1 Boathouse Row, tweedride.phillyfixed.com.
