Gods of hellfire, fans of Viking helmets and crunching prog-metal-ites, unite! You have nothing to lose but your sheepskin at this Metalocalypse smackdown. While the cartoonish Dethklok crew's found life on the upper rungs of the Top 20 lately a dizzying experience, Mastodon has been there before, surprisingly, with Crack the Skye's Zappa-Crimson-Rush-like roar and Tolkien-pagan death match lyricism somehow moving units. Go figure.
