MANNA Pie in the Sky Tasting

The Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA) and U.S. Airways are teaming up to bring Philadelphians desserts with the aim of providing people facing life-threatening illnesses with nutritious meals. Come out to Kildare's to sample selections and pre-order your stash. (Pies, which run from $25 to $35, include pumpkin, apple crumb, Southern pecan, sweet potato and dark chocolate ganache with a creamy cheesecake center.) MANNA is good. Pie is good. Come get some. Halloween Spirits at McGillin's Olde Ale House
Fri., Oct. 31, 9 p.m.-1 a.m., free

If you feel that there can never be too many drinks ending with "-bomb," McGillin's is the place for you: Their "pumpkin bombs" feature a shot of pumpkin liqueur and Captain Morgan dropped into a pumpkin ale. They'll also pour pumpkin martinis — vanilla vodka, pumpkin "smash" and cream in a cinna-sugar-rimmed martini glass. The bar is also hosting "scare-aoke" with a cash prize for best costume. Thirteen Tailgate Brunch

Every Sunday, Thirteen hosts what they call a "winning tailgate brunch." (Please, please don't jinx us.) Sports fans are invited watch the home team play on one of Thirteen's in-booth flat-screens or large LCDs. Brunch includes smoked salmon, an omelette station, salad bar, artisanal desserts and drink specials. Rum Bar's pairing five courses with their brand-new selection of wines from South America. Dinner includes pepper pot soup paired with Carmen Sauvignon Blanc; ceviche with sparkling Delapierre Cava; and your choice of crab cakes or pork medallions accented by Carmen Carmenere. Watch the returns come in upstairs on JB's brand-new big screen.
