heidiroland Obama Earrings
$20 at Black Cat, 3424 Sansom St., 267-979-2010, heidiroland.net

There are plenty of T-shirt options for your election night party, but we're not about to ruin a perfectly complete cocktail dress. Patience Roland — the photographer and jewelry designer behind heidiroland — has a sassy solution with her Obama earrings, which feature pictures she snapped at his Oct. 11 Philadelphia appearance on 52nd Street. One earring features an image of Barack, while the other shows scenes from the rally. Like all heidiroland designs, these are big, bold conversation pieces: The rectangle earrings measure 1.5 by 2.5 inches, and the circles are 2 inches in diameter. They'll be a timely accessory for at least the next four years, but if you want them for Nov. 4, get in touch with Patience and she'll make sure your lobes are ready for the big night. She wasn't interested in making a McCain version, and we're not interested in wearing one (on many levels), but admit it — Sarah earrings have potential. Strange, convoluted potential.

Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction
Opens Fri., Nov. 7, 116 N. Third St., artintheage.com

After two years of hooking us up on the Web, Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction is getting itself a proper storefront. The Philly-based company, now under the direction of Space 1026 co-founder Ben Woodward, will open the doors to its Old City flagship boutique and gallery space this week. You can pick up the entire collection of Art in the Age tees, many of which are designed by local artists, as well as housewares, stationery, men's and women's accessories by other artisan-friendly brands and books by label regulars such as Jim Houser and Paper Rad. Thursday's opening will also celebrate the space's first exhibit, a group show curated by Woodward and featuring work by Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Jayson Musson, Julieanne Ahn, Beth Brandon, Alex Lukas, Isaac Lin and Damien Weinkrantz.

Conspiracy Showroom Two-Year Anniversary Celebration
Thu., Nov. 13, 6-9 p.m., Conspiracy Showroom, 910 N. Second St., 215-925-2153, conspiracyshowroom.com

Conspiracy Showroom is only two years old, but they're already showing a rebellious side. In celebration of their second birthday, the NoLibs boutique is introducing a "Stick it to the Man" promotion, which gives you 10 percent off when you skip the plastic and pay in cash. The offer will extend through the rest of 2008, but try it out at their anniversary party, where you can also pick up pieces at up to 40 percent off. And there's plenty to choose from. Since opening, the ladies have seriously expanded their store to include more of their own work as well as carefully selected vintage pieces. "We finally caved to our love of vintage," says co-owner Typhaney Shanker. "I think we tried to avoid it at first, fearing it would dilute the everything-is-handmade message, but we've eased up on that and couldn't be happier with the decision." Holy little-black-Audrey-dress, neither could we.
