Safe (1995, U.K./U.S., 119 min.) Julianne Moore plays a housewife who becomes allergic to her boring life in this Todd Haynes thriller. The Designated Mourner (1997, U.K., 94 min.) Mike Nichols and Miranda Richardson live in an unnamed time and place that's rapidly undergoing a revolution where the rich people are simply and mysteriously disappearing.
