Picky pretzel people pick pretzel perfect pretzels. Can you say that in under a second? Fran Capo can.
In fact, she's the Guinness Book world record holder for "Fastest Talking Woman," clocking in at 603.32 words per minutean unimaginable 10 words per second.
This year, Capo judged Auntie Anne's national tongue twister competition, which asked kids ages 6 to 12 to say the tongue-twisting pretzel line quickly, clearly and passionately.
Capo matches the pace of her lifestyle with the pace of her speech, working as a standup comedienne, author, adventurer, motivational speaker and actress. She's been dropping down from New York to do shows at Comedy Cabaret locations for more than 15 years, and will be back in town this weekend.
Where She Goes When She Craves Pretzels: "Auntie Anne's Pretzels in the Gallery Mall. Nick Fodera, the owner, is a great guy. The cinnamon pretzels are my absolute favorite! Tell him Fran the Fast Talker sent ya!"
How to Get Your Adrenaline Pumping: "One of my adventures that I cover in my book is [the] race car driving that I did going over 110 mph with Bertil Roos Racing School. They have tracks in the Poconos and Nazareth."
Her Claim to Fame in Philly: "I did a Car Sense radio commercial where I played a fast-talking, nagging wife who kept having nightmares."
