"Radio waves connect people through different devices, cook food, connect you on the cell phones, play music for you on the radio, all kinds of things," explains Gamble. "That's what's up with the igloos, in a way. You can be isolated, but still connect with people. I have long used housing forms as a symbol of the body, as you yourself, so the igloo is sort of you being isolated."

Theneighborhood of pieces pairs bleak gray mountains and remote forest settings with clusters of colorful geometrical shapes. Communication is the key in these paintings, as humans fixate on being accessible even in the most primitive conditions.
