At the Meet-the-Artists night for Terrence McNally's Some Men, patrons are given the opportunity to ask the cast and crew about their work and process.
There's a small chance theatergoers actually want to know the difference between the Stanislavski System and method acting or what in the holy hell a gobo is, but there is always that question that everyone is too afraid to ask.
Like, what if an actor has to suck face with a castmate who has toxic breath?
Tony Award-winner and Some Men cast member John Glover has never had that particular problem, but once while in a play with strict vegetarian Carol Kane, she was so repulsed by his meat-laced breath that she asked him to brush his teeth and tongue before their love scenes.
In response, Glover went herbivore until the play ended.
