112th Annual Penn Relays

Thu.-Sat., April 27-29, $14-$45, Franklin Field, University of Pennsylvania, 33rd and Chestnut sts., 215-898-6145

Fond of wearing spandex onesies and running around in circles? Or maybe you're just on the hunt for hot glutes?

Either way, Penn Relays, the country's oldest and largest amateur track and field competition, promises to be heaven in a stadium.

Since 1895, the Franklin Field races have drawn countless fans and about 15,000 participants, ranging in age from grade school students to senior citizens. It's not all newbies, of course—the races also attract record-setting athletes from around the globe. Champs like Wilma Rudolph, Marion Jones and Allyson Felix have competed in past years. Watch for future Olympic hopefuls, who traditionally make a splash at the event.
