ART IN CHICAGO
ART IN CHICAGO

Be Lie Ve

Runs through March 31, $10-$15, Playground at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom St., 215-681-0211

If Sybil told a bedtime story, it might go like this: Once upon a time, Little Red Riding Hood walked up to an Indian palace and yelled "Open sesame!" Directed by Brenna Geffers, Be Lie Ve is a mixed bag of fairy tales from a smorgasbord of cultures, including Indian, Norwegian, Arabian, Celtic and Hans Christian Anderson. What unites these very different accounts is their shared hope for humanity and faith in the power of storytelling.

Fashion's Favorites: From Rococo to Romantic

Runs through April 1, Philadelphia Museum of Art, 26th St. and the Parkway, 215-763-8100

Ever had the desire to don a three-foot wig? Fancy squeezing a hoop skirt through the El turnstile? Shun peasants in favor of the aristocratic lifestyle? Congratulations! You should have been born in the18th-century rococo era. Lucky for us, the PMA has got the goods to hook you up with a bustle skirt bootylicious enough to attract a hot man in pillow-shorts. Who needs Victoria's Secret when you've got sexy full-length chemises?

Art in Chicago: Resisting Regionalism, Transforming Modernism

Runs through April 2, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 118 N. Broad St., 215-972-7600

Chicago: land of Oprah, Ferris Bueller, irresistible deep-dish pizza and groundbreaking artwork. Behold "Resisting Regionalism," an exhibit featuring works by visual artists who've lived in or passed through Chicago. Keep your eyes peeled for A Little Walk, Don Baum's collection of found objects including bones, wood and a doll. What—you don't find bones on your walks?
