On The DL…

Third Annual Jam for Jess

Sat., March 25, 7-9:30 p.m., $10-$20, Norristown High School, 1900 Eagle Dr., Norristown, 215-453-1235, www.jkdance.org

What's a show with 165 of Philadelphia's finest hip-hop performers doing at a local high school? Redirecting the huge cost of a larger venue to deserving dancers, says Barb Klinger, president of the Jessica Karrat Dance Scholarship Fund, which rewards dancers based solely on their skills and love of the art. In honor of Jess Karrat, who loved dance but died in a car accident at 13, acts like Montazh, FloMotion and Celestia are putting on an ambitious show in Norristown's nearly 3,000-seat auditorium. Says Klinger, "I still get e-mails from people who went last year and can't wait to see it this year."
