Runs March 14-16, 5-10 p.m., $5, The Bike Stop Gallery, 206 S. Quince St., third floor, 215-627-1662.
The Liberty Bears, Philly's oldest nonprofit leathermen group, is hosting its first-ever art show at the Bike Stop in Center City. Avant Garde Exposed is a collaborative exhibit by seven local gay artists featuring photography, charcoal and oil paintings. The subjects? Leather sex and gay erotica. "The show will give these artists a venue for their work that they usually don't have," explains Bears spokesperson Veronica Bound. "Very few art galleries are holding open their doors saying, 'Come on in and fill my gallery with gay erotic images and leather daddies.'"
