We're freaks for burlesque around here, but this weekend's neo-vaudeville act has us in absolute hysterics. The Pontani SistersAngie, Tara and Helenare a triple shot of sass best known for igniting the revue revival. Originally from South Jersey, the sisters have a lot to say about their favorite Philly places
|
TO PERFORM: The Trocadero is one of our all-time favorite venues in the country! We even performed at the gorgeous Union League. That was amazing.
TO FIND INSPIRATION: Tara just ran the Philly marathon in November and made a special trip up the Art Museum steps the night before the race to try and channel Rocky's strength! We actually have a routine to the remix of the Rocky theme song and "Eye of the Tiger." We debuted it last year at the New York Burlesque Festival.
TO NOSH LATE AT NIGHT: We have a Philly tradition of cheesesteaks after a show. While Angie's in line at Pat's, Tara'll be at Geno's. Unfortunately, Helen is vegetarian and doesn't get to experience the whole Philly cheesesteak thing. We refer her to Gianna's.
TO SHOP: Angie plans to visit her favorite corset shop, Delicious Boutique, and snag some fancy footwear from Stiletto.
