Maybe now that Eminem is remarried and on a honeymoon from the spotlight, indie MC Louis Logic can step out of that particular shadow. It's been dogging him for years. You may remember Logic stepping onto the scene back in 1998 with the Superegular Records release Planet Rock, and collaborating with Jedi Mind Tricks. Right now, Logic is preparing for his 2006 release, Misery Loves Company (Fat Beats), by making his rounds with an over-the-top stage show he calls Tremors. Logic welcomes G.O.P. and the Flight Brothers before taking the mic and displaying the eccentric, sarcastic style of hip-hop that has earned him respect in the national underground scene. Quirky and not a little bit annoying, Logic is an act you either hate or love. There is no middle.
Fri., Jan. 20, 9 p.m., $8-$10, with DJ Rest and DJ IM, World Café Live, 3025 Walnut St., www.worldcafelive.com.
