Greenskeepers

Dance/electronic

House enthusiasts didn't know what to make of the latest Greenskeepers CD, Pleetch (Om). James Curd and Co. have become infamous for that whacked-out, funky-house oddness — making them a favorite of DJs like Derrick Carter and Mark Farina — but Pleetch is a mixed bag of styles, from P-Funk to pop-punk. A Whitman's Sampler of vocalists unload everything from sweet 'n' soulful serenades to straight-up goofballery, and there are only a few of those quirky Greenskeepers tech-house cuts. But don't fret, fundamentalist house junkies; the Greenskeepers' Philly debut only consists of frontman DJ James Curd dishin' out the quirky, lip-smacking, butt-grabbing dance music y'all love so much.

Fri., Feb. 25, 10 p.m., $5, with Mr. Devins, Carl Michaels, J Leroy and Kevin V, Silk City, Fifth and Spring Garden sts., 215-592-8838.
