The Olsens aren't the only twins in show biz, and these two are actually prettier. Now outta the majors and taking their own indie route to quasi-fame, the emo-edged, Atlanta-bred Lowenstein bros are back with Half Dozen (Twelve Between Us), which features true to its name six new songs (along with three previously released numbers). The record is actually half of the last unreleased album Evan & Jaron made for Columbia and in an attempt to woo back fans who've wondered where they've been the past few years is being offered for only $6 on the boys' Web site. (The other half-dozen tracks from the Columbia sessions will be released later this year; same deal, six bucks). While best known for the teen-feverish top-10 hit, "Crazy for This Girl," the emo-edged Evan & Jaron's newer material has a decidedly twangy-jangly sound, even on the radio-friendly single "What She Likes." And with those heavenly harmonies, they even sound as good as they look.
Thu., July 1, 8 p.m., $14, with Kate Klim, The Point, 880 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, 866-468-7619.
