How do you like yo' house music? Funky? Progressive? Disco-y? Deep? This guy does it all. One of the most prolific house producers ever, Miami's Robbie Rivera hurls audiences into a dancing frenzy with his club-storming four-to-the-floor DJ sets, spinning predominantly his own tracks and remixes. Like Junior Vasquez and Armand Van Helden, Rivera seems to have his fingers in many of today's hottest club tracks -- remixing Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction" (Europe's biggest club smash at the moment), plus tunes by Madonna, Sinead O'Connor, Felix Da Housecat, Funky Green Dogs, Moloko -- the list goes on and on. His discography is huge; he's dished out countless 12-inch singles on labels like Defected, Positiva, Ministry of Sound, Virgin, Strictly Rhythm, Tommy Boy, Manifesto, Sony, Henry Street, yadda yadda yadda. This month marks the release of his latest mix-CD, Wicked, on his own label, Juicy Music. Wicked pulsates and drives with a big-club feel, with guest artists like Benny Benassi, Saeed & Palash and Antoine Clamaran.
Sat., Nov. 29, 9 p.m.-6 a.m., $15-$20, with Willie Morales, Taurus, Scott Melker, Diabolique, Armen, Magin Boo, Magnum and Jason Leroy, Shampoo, Seventh and Willow sts., 215-922-7500.
