Work off the turkey, tofurky and turducken at these weekend boogies. Kicking off an official JustOne collaboration with Stef Tataz (oui oui, she’s the Cue Records maven/promoter/party hostess), DJ Kwestion and the Fifth Platoon DJs jump-start the dancefloor with four -- yes, four! -- turntables. Fri., Nov. 28, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., $5, women free before midnight, Fluid, 613 S. Fourth St., 215-413-3525. Nobody knows when Lady Alma will hit the airwaves or land on record-store shelves, but on Friday she’ll be tearing down the house with her band, The Family, all the way live. In what’s fast becoming a tradition, DJ Statik rocks the before- and after-show party. Fri., Nov. 28, 10 p.m., $10, North by Northwest, 7165 Germantown Ave., 215-248-1000.
Karma Response Unit Records presents The Hogan Family Thanksgiving Special with performances by West Philly's Reef the Lost Cauze, Side Effect, former Media 101 member Snuff and the latest addition to the Karma Response Unit roster, Jake Lefco. Happ G, the "Magic Hip-Hop Cabbie," hosts and the IVC's Panek spins. The sound promises to be crystal clear, with sound king Rashid of Nu Millennium Entertainment on duty. Any MCs cussing the sound man are mistaken; they just don't know how to hold the mic right. Sat., Nov. 29, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., $5, La Tazza, 108 Chestnut St., happgeez@hotmail.com, www.krurecords.com.
