February 6-12, 2003 beat box So much to do, so little time. Warning: Friday is packed! Choose wisely. Ms. Tiffany Bacon's 1st Annual “Who I Be” Birthday Bash beckons you to party, network and celebrate with the woman who owns Sunday nights (from 9 to 11 p.m.) on Power 99 FM with her hit show, "Inner City." Fri., Feb. 7, 9:30 p.m.-2 a.m., $5, North By Northwest, 7165 Germantown Ave., 215-248-1000. Or shimmy on down to Afrorikan Vybe 'cause DJs Rich Medina and Dennis Perez are back every first Friday of the month with the best (and we mean best) Afro-beat, house and Latin. It's all about the dance floor. Fri., Feb. 7, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., $7, Fluid, 613 S. Fourth St., 215-629-0565, www.fluidnightclub.com. Or cross the bridge for poet/songstress/superwoman, Stephanie Renee. In a storm of poetry, jazz and rhythm and blues, Renee and her band deliver a crowd-pleaser every time. Fri., Feb. 7, 8 p.m., $10, Walt Whitman Arts Center, Second and Cooper sts., Camden, N.J., 856-964-8300, www.waltwhitmancenter.org. Or do it up at Krush Unit Recordings 1st Showing of 2003 with SubHoodz, Side Effect, M-Ski, The HaveNots, Black Lung Brothers, Reef and big Supreem Da Regulata. Fri., Feb. 7, 9 p.m., $7, The Balcony, 1003 Arch St., 215-922-LIVE. And last, but most recommended: the Visu-Ills art and photo installation. With works by incredibly talented artists like Pose II, Saga One, Meca Isa, Soul-One, Abi and Kiende on display, set to DJ Mr. Cisum's sounds. Fri., Feb. 7, opening reception, 6-10 p.m., free, Space 1026, 1026 Arch St., 215-235-4029, soulonedfr@hotmail.com. Drumroll please. First of all, Silk City is back in the mix. Second, the aforementioned DJ Rich Medina is the man handling the wheels. Every second Monday of the month, it's Little Ricky’s. Hosted by Gravy, with visual stimulation by Kevlar, Ricky's party ventures to Philly after running as a weekly in NY for the past two years. It's an exploration in funk, rhythm, hip-hop, classics, Afro-beat, soul -- all things that move the body, shake the body-body. Mon., Feb. 10, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., $3 before 11 p.m., $5, Silk City, Fifth and Spring Garden sts., 215-592-8838. And lastly, DJ Lil' Dave supplies the hip-hop, funk and breaks every Tuesday night at Loie, billed as a sexy little spot equipped with a pool table and indoor/outdoor lounge. Tue., Feb. 11, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., free, Loie, 128 S. 19th St., 215-568-0808, www.illvibe.net.
