Trolleyvox

Their videos haven't been showing up on the History Channel, but it's been an awfully long time since Trolleyvox graced us with a live sampling of their rapturous, full-throated pop. Over two years, in fact, since the last full-on show. But fear not, Philadelphia: Singer Beth Filla and guitarist/songwriter Andrew Chalfen (late of the Wishniaks, lately of Helen Back's Str8 Razors) have a new (if not quite titled) album on the way, full of sing-'em-if-you-got-'em melodies, and a reconstituted rhythm section, to boot -- drummer Ken Buono and new addition Scott Rodgers (ex-Three-4-Tens), whose capoed bass playing is reportedly a sight to see. This is meant to be a re-emergence, not a one-off, but you'd better show up just in case it's two years 'til their next show, or else you'll be kicking yourself while Bush is running for re-election.

Fri., Jan. 10, 10 p.m., $7, with Anthemic Pop Wonder and Lee, Doc Watson's, 216 S. 11th St., 215-922-3427.
