Night Shyamalan’s Signs trailer with a drum ’n’ bass take for its DVD.… From Belgium to Ireland: sounds as if Cuvee Notredame -- offered first to owners of Jack’s Firehouse and London Grille -- will go to the owners of the Plough & The Stars.… Brother JT3 hits The Khyber Oct. 11 hawking Spirituals, prepping to tour with fellow Drag City-ite Smog in November… Where’s Jazzy Jeff’s former studio manager Jessy Kyle? For that gig, Tracy Stanton will replace bassist Andrew Chalfen, who returns for Back’s NoLib surprise Nov. 1.… Congrats to WDAS’ Nicole Bailey-Williams, whose A Little Piece of Sky is published by Harlem Moon/Random House this week.… Phew: Bynum Bros. just re-signed the lease for Brave New World/Soul Sanctuary -- at the final hour.… Academy of Vocal Arts grad Indra Thomas (who’ll sing for Danny Glover at his Marian Anderson Award ceremony) just got a gig next season at LaScala.… Tin Angel is bringing Donovan in for its 10th anniversary shows in November. Sunshine superman hasn’t played here since the early ’90s.… What’s Ozzykid Jack Osbourne got on his chest whilst appearing on Dawson’s Creek? A Thorazine symbol?! Indeed. A Thorazine poster will stay on the wall of the D-Creek radio station to boot.… Whowhatwhere: Gilmore Girl Liza Weil showed up at dad Marc Weil’s Phil Roger-Roy production of the Madhouse Company of London’s Wild Stunt Show at Society Hill Playhouse. Kenny Gamble showed up at Philly soul legend Herb Johnson’s Silk City gig to commemorate his Philly Archive CD Remember Me. Thandie Newton didn’t hang around Ritz East too long with Jonathan Demme while promoting The Trouble With Charlie. But they did both ramble ’round The Rittenhouse and the Square. What did Gordon Gano do between a Y100 interview and a Factory gig? Sat in his Loews Hotel suite playing the viola he borrowed from Clear Channel’s Cliff Hall. Jill Scott got chef Scott Swiderski to open Buddakan’s kitchen early so he could cook her a double order of dumplings, double order of scallops, calamari salad, wasabi mashed potatoes and doughnuts. She loves the B!… The Last Wave (kids from Snow Fairies, Rabbit In Red, The Ropers, Touch Me Zoo) hit Club 218 Oct. 10, opening for the aforementioned Fairies.… Oct. 13 is Outfest all along the 13th and Pine/Locust gayborhood. Mud’ll resurface soon.… After his b-day in Cherry Hill (’80s night at Coastline) got ruined by homophobic club managers, give Dumpsta Playa/Locust Bar regular Ricky K-Tell a proper party at Bob & Barb’s Oct. 16 at Kreepy Kaleidoscope night.… Dev79 celebrates his b-day at Aqua Lounge Oct. 16, with a Seclusiasis Studio showcase starring West Philly’s Oaxerai (great first CD Birthrite. Firstright), Ill Cosby (hawking his mixCD The Breaks) and CCx.… And sadly, a South St. legend has passed away: Ron of Ron’s Ribs, from a heart attack -- gone to the brick oven in the sky.
