DJ Harvey

UK’s DJ Harvey (not to be confused with PJ) is no stranger to rhythm. He started drumming in late ’70s new wave bands, then quickly grew tired of live music. His love for beats led him to scratching and by the mid ’80s Harvey was a pioneer of the UK house scene, throwing his outlandish Tonka parties. Now known for his graveyard slots at London’s Ministry of Sound and as the turntable maestro behind Ministry’s 1998 mix CD Late Night Sessions, Harvey continues to drop an eclectic blend of deep, soulful leftfield house and classic funk ranging from Salsoul and D’Note to Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan. This will be his first ever Philly appearance.
