Camp Dreamcatcher

Last year, when local singer/songwriter LisaBeth Weber needed funds and emotional support after a bout with thyroid cancer, David Broida organized an evening of folkies to help her out. That night The Point glowed with the joy of focused kindness and concern and all agreed this energy should be harnessed for future good works. This year Broida has tapped a number of the area’s brightest singer/songwriters along with some up-and-comers to raise funds for Chester County’s Camp Dreamcatcher, where for one week every summer kids with HIV or family members infected with the disease get a week’s respite, absolutely free of charge and judgement. Broida notes that John Flynn is active throughout the year in helping these kids and will again be donating his time at this benefit. Patti Shea, LisaBeth Weber, Ken Ulansey, Barry Rabin and another 20 or so community minded talents will help to make the dream come true.
