Therapy (weekly) (deep house) (trip-hop) @ Love Lounge with Crasta, Surplus and Sean "Beefcake" O’Neal, n/c. A new weekly of deep grooves and a lot o’ lovin’.

Smile (weekly) (breaks) (house) (hip-hop) @ Shampoo with DJ Icey, Joe Cas, Dozia, Lucas and Tripp, $10. Florida breaks maestro Icey is in town to rock your funky world along with the Smile residents.

L2 DJ3 (every other week) (progressive house) (trance) (drum ‘n’ bass) (trip-hop) @ L2 with Jugo, Aker and Andrew More, n/c. A soothing merger of various styles brought to you on the West End of town.

Mason spins (weekly) (hip-hop) @ Guru, n/c. A solid night of vibey hip-hop.

Tonearm Thursdays (weekly) (hip-hop) @ Eighth Street Lounge with John L. and Big Rich Medina, n/c. See why these guys are two of the most well-respected turntablists in Philly.

Botany 500 spins (weekly) (trip-hop) (funk/soul) @ O’Neal’s, n/c. Botany has made a mark in the city with his rare grooves and flawless selection of soul and funk.

Fresh Thursdays (weekly) (trance) (progressive house) @ Deco Nightclub with Joey Savino + guest, $10 without membership. This night is different than other nights at Deco, breaking away from that "gold chain/meat market" mold and dedicating themselves to the music and the people.

¡Cubanitis! (monthly) (reggae/world) @ Silk City with Jorge and Alfredo, n/c. Gettin’ down to Cuban music and the late ’60s/early ’70s and the NYC styles it influenced.

FRIDAY, APRIL 7

Release! (weekly) (house) (hip-hop) @ Butter with DJ Roland Riso, $5. A brand new weekly featuring a Skribble-like DJ molding the dance floor with house, garage, funk and hip-hop.

Urban Rhythms (weekly) (deep house) @ Love Lounge with Willyum and Kevin V, n/c. The deepest of deep house gatherings in Philly.

Worship Fridays (weekly) (deep house) (reggae/world) (trip-hop) @ Filo’s with Rob Paine, n/c. Experience the vibrant sounds of dub, deep house, roots, reggae and dancehall in a candlelit, soothing atmosphere.

True Fridays (weekly) (breaks) (trance) (house) (progressive house) @ Space with DJ Huda Hudia, John Shah, Imri, Kunekt, Freedom, Mass and Bill-e, $12 with flier. Kaleidoscope Records’ Florida breaks pacesetter puts the happy happy vibes into your joy joy.

SATURDAY, APRIL 8

The Glamorous Life (one-off) (techno) (house) @ Shampoo with Keoki, Robbie Tronco, Frankie DeSante, Vaughn and Lucas, $12 before 11 p.m./$15 after. The promoters proclaim this to be "the first in a series of parties to promote scandal and chaos." Shakin’ the booty is fun.

Saturdays (weekly) (house) (deep house) (experiemental/ambient) @ Marmont with Alexander Adrock, n/c. The only lounge where you’ll hear house music merged with anything from Kraftwerk to the Yellow Magic Orchestra. Plus the martinis are addicting.

Grass (weekly) (trip-hop) (drum ‘n’ bass) (experiemental/ambient) @ Silk City with Crasta, Milkweed and Julian, $3. Always a packed house, indulge yourself in future sounds and multi-spatial music.

Steady (weekly) (deep house) (house) @ Fluid with Pete Moss and Sean Thomas, $5. Two of Philly’s smoothest house DJs set the vibe and keep you jittering with soul in motion.

Recline (weekly) (trip-hop) (experiemental/ambient) @ Love Lounge with Lux and Naseema, n/c. A heart-to-heart weekly lounge congregation loafing to the likes of Thievery Corporation, Kruder & Dorfmeister and other soothing trip-hop sounds.

Cozmic Cat spins (weekly) (hip-hop) (reggae/world) (funk/soul) @ 700 Club, n/c. Putting forth a positive vibe through the sounds of deep-rooted reggae, hip-hop and soul.

SUNDAY, APRIL 9

Escape (weekly) (trance) (hardcore/happy hardcore) (drum ‘n’ bass) @ The Warehouse with Hectic, Scorpion, Circuit Breaker, Dream Weaver, Kpakpo, Armen, Abduct, and MC J-Messinian, $8 with flyer. Stage 1 of a new weekly of slammin’ dance floor domination.

AudioFunk (weekly) (breaks) (house) @ Eighth Street Lounge with DJ Sean Deep, n/c. The only weekly in Philly that features the sounds of funky breaks.

Ruby Lounge (weekly) (house) (deep house) (progressive house) @ Deco with Jon Gill and Lee Jones, $1. An afterparty from 1 to 3:30 a.m. taking place in the red room of Deco. While the entire club is accessible, Gill and Jones spin during the "Ruby Lounge."

Wavelength (weekly) (drum ‘n’ bass) @ Pomodoro’s with Trust, DV8, Atma and Magin Boo, $5. A Sunday dosage of hard-hitting jungle. Trust does a live PA along with three other assassins on da decks upstairs at one of South Street’s famous pizza joints.

MONDAY, APRIL 10

Magnetique (weekly) (experiemental/ambient) (trip-hop) (drum ‘n’ bass) @ Silk City with Jugo and Jeff, n/c. Warm, friendly atmosphere where you’ll hear anything from shoegazer to trip-hop to ambient to d’n’b to Manchester.

The Remedy (weekly) (hip-hop) @ Fluid with Cozmo and Big Rich $5. One of Philly’s phattest hip-hop weekly’s ever with plenty of beats and plenty of meat.

Ten Monday’s (weekly) (deep house) (trip-hop) @ The Attic with Andrew and RT Malloy, n/c. A loungy, jazzy, funky, groovy, soulful way to smooth out your evening and sip the night away.

TUESDAY, APRIL 11

DJ TJ Spins Sounds From All Over (monthly) (experiemental/ambient) @ Silk City with DJ TJ and Chuck Dee, n/c. An inspiring and enlightening blend of old soundtracks, jazz, easy listening.

Slipping Into Sublimity (every other week) (experiemental/ambient) @ 700 Club with John Schenk, Gloria Justin-Schenk, Ben Morgan, Schwa, and Yanni Pappadopolis, n/c. Lush improvisers indulge themselves in neo-avant garde experimental/ambient mayhem.

Cream (weekly) (trip-hop) (house) (deep house) (trance) (progressive house) @ Lucy’s with Michael Myers, $3. This Local 13 DJ brings you a more mature and loungy vibe than his usual rave outings spinning acid jazz to trance and everything in between.

Heavy (weekly) (deep house) (trip-hop) (reggae/world) @ Saint Jacks’ with Rob Paine, n/c. Lounge out to the funk-soul-hop-jazz thrown by the Worship Records’ dubmeister himself.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12

Breathe (monthly) (trance) (progressive house) @ Fluid with MG, $5. MG takes you on his heartfelt, utopian journey of moody progressive house and deep, blissful trance.

EthniCITY (weekly) (house) (funk/soul) (reggae/world) @ Brave New World’s VIP Lounge with Rahsaan, $5. The first night of a new weekly with a fusion of Afro-Latin rhythms, new and old soul, and fresh house music.

Phuture Beats (weekly) (drum ‘n’ bass) @ O’Neal’s with Ivan Ross, n/c. Ivan keeps his jungle chill and atmospheric — almost ambient at times. This is an opportunity to hear d’n’b in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Soulglow (weekly) (deep house) (trip-hop) @ Filo’s with Willyum, n/c. The ideal chill-out spot to warm up for the weekend with acid jazz, trip-hop and deep house.
